The San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams released their final injury reports Wednesday evening, as both teams prepare for Thursday Night Football. It's a short week, which means plenty of injured players either will not play, or will at the very least be potentially limited during the game. And the NFL wonders why TNF games often end up as sloppy football contests?
In not surprising news, Nnamdi Asomugha, Patrick Willis and Vernon Davis were all listed as questionable. Nnamdi and Willis are unlikely to play, while Vernon Davis is more of a game-time decision. Davis was "limited" all week in practice, but that is an upgrade from last week when he sat out the entire week of practice.
On the Rams side of things, right tackle Rodger Saffold was confirmed as out for Thursday's game. He injured his knee in Week 2, and at this point is still being replaced by Joe Barksdale.
