The 49ers are back with a quick turnaround for Week 4. San Francisco travels to St. Louis to face the Rams on Thursday Night Football. Both teams are scuffling, and looking to avoid falling even further back of the first place Seahawks.

A win does not necessarily solve all the woes of either team, but it at least stops the bleeding. For the 49ers, that means buying some time for the roster to get a little healthier. For fans, it's just a chance to hopefully let out a deep breath. I have no idea what will happen tonight, although my gut says it's a grinder of a game that doesn't answer questions, so much as just get one team out the door with a much-needed win. Hoping just a little bit that it's the 49ers!

This will be your first quarter game thread, and we'll be back with a new thread each quarter.
