49ers depth chart vs. Packers: A whole lot of wide receivers

The 49ers released their first depth chart of the season. We break down what it means as they prepare for their Week 1 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. New to Niners Nation? Sign up here and join the discussion!

The San Francisco 49ers released their 2013 Week 1 depth chart. Yesterday we discussed the wide receiver portion of it, but I wanted to provide the entire depth chart for your perusal.

There is nothing that is altogether shocking about the depth chart. Adam Snyder is listed as the right guard backup, with no swing tackle listed. I imagine though that Snyder will operate as the primary swing tackle. They could insert Snyder at right guard and move Boone outside, but Snyder spent enough time on the edges this preseason, so that would be unlikely.

The 49ers worked out Owen Marecic last weekend, but have yet to sign him. If they did sign him, they would likely wait until after Sunday's game. After that they do not have to guarantee his salary for the season, which they would if they sign him this week. If they did sign Marecic, Nate Stupar seems a likely candidate for release, but then you've got a guy in Marecic who is inserted into a fullback depth chart that is kind of stocked right now. I know Jim Harbaugh is a big fan of Marecic, but I just don't otherwise get the signing.

Anyway, here is the 49ers Week 1 depth chart.
