Fooch's update: Matt Barrows and Matt Maiocco are reporting Gore will have surgery on his finger, and it is not considered a serious issue.
The San Francisco 49ers running game struggled to get much of anything going on Sunday, and we saw fairly limited reps for the running backs throughout. One reason Frank Gore was limited might have been to a broken hand. Gore was signing autographs at Lefty's Sports Cards memorabilia shop, and Lefty's broke this news:
After suffering a broken hand early in yesterday's game, Frank Gore continued to play his heart out...

We are told that Frank Gore will have surgery tomorrow on his hand and hopes to be back in his Niner uniform later this year! #ClassAct

If Frank broke hand Sunday, I'd guess it was his left. He hasn't spoken to media yet RT @kchoy_choy: Frank Gore!!!!! pic.twitter.com/oM68MHxzt7

If you look at that picture, his right hand is seriously swollen. The fact that he played through the game with that busted hand is simply incredible.
Somehow the 49ers-Seahawks games up in Seattle have been so costly for the 49ers. The last three games up there, the 49ers have suffered significant injuries. It's safe to say this is a storyline to track when the 49ers head back up there in 2014.
But for now, Frank Gore joins the rest of the group showing serious toughness in the Pacific Northwest. We'll keep an eye out for more details on this.
