Holy crap. Just holy freaking crap. The 49ers had their backs against the walls, but they responded. It wasn't pretty, but the San Francisco 49ers won and live to fight another day! The 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers by a final score of 23-20 behind a mix of big defensive plays, huge Colin Kaepernick plays, bigger Michael Crabtree plays, and of course, Phil Dawson.
I don't even know where to begin. The horrific officiating would be an easy one, but the 49ers won, so we can deal with that later. I'm not quite shaking, but I'm emotionally spent after that one. We'll have so much more, in a game that was one for the ages. The 49ers looked bad at times, but when they needed plays late, players stepped up. Kap made huge plays with his legs, Frank Gore made some big plays, and Michael Crabtree had huge catches. Crabtree finished the game with eight receptions for 125 yards, and you could argue saved the day as much as anybody.
The 49ers will now travel back to San Francisco, and then head east to face the Carolina Panthers next week. That game will bring plenty to discuss, but for now, to quote Ric Flair, WOOOOOOOOOOOO!
