The San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams released their Friday practice participation reports, and there are a couple changes. Fortunately one player whose status did not change is Vernon Davis. He conducted his second straight limited practice, which continues to move him toward playing this Monday.
Chris Cook was added to the report, listed as a limited participant. Although he and Vernon had the same designation on Friday, the difference is Cook was not on the report on Thursday. This indicates a new injury in the last day. Cook is a reserve at corner, but according to Cam Inman, he also blocks gunners on punt returns. I suspect Cook is likely to play, but we probably will not know for certain until Monday. Martin is the only player listed as limited who will almost assuredly not be active.
The Rams report was a bit busier on Friday. Wide receiver Kenny Britt, linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar, and defensive end Eugene Sims. Dunbar and Sims were both limited on Thursday, but Britt was not listed on the report. The two teams will release their final injury reports Saturday afternoon, so we'll see if anything changes by then.
