The San Francisco 49ers released their inactives for Week 6, and there are no surprises. The 49ers will welcome back tight end Vernon Davis, who sat out last week with back spasms. He was able to get in limited workouts this week, wearing a blue non-contact jersey for all three practices. He will be active and in the starting lineup on Monday night.
The 49ers will be without cornerback Tramaine Brock and right tackle Anthony Davis. Brock was declared out on Saturday, while Davis was listed as questionable. Both have a good chance of being ready to go following the 49ers Week 8 bye.
The 49ers released Josh Johnson to bring in Bubba Ventrone, and that combined with Vernon Davis's return opened the door for a couple more "new" inactives. Special teamer L.J. McCray is inactive, and defensive lineman Quinton Dial is inactive. It would seem like the 49ers wanted a bit more veteran depth on their special teams squads.
49ers inactives: WR Quinton Patton, CB Tramaine Brock, S L.J. McCray, C Marcus Martin, RT Anthony Davis, DL Quinton Dial and DL Tank Carradine
