Good morning everyone. Year after year, I continue to lose respect for the NFL as an institution. Their handling of just about everything following the last Superbowl has been awful. This next issue falls under the category of pettiness and incompetence more than anything sinister, but it is still annoying. So we all remember that Colin Kaepernick was fined $11,000 for "inappropriate language" a few weeks ago correct? Well he won his appeal yesterday. The NFL even came out and said that they found no evidence of a racial slur. The problem? They didn't eliminate his fine, they only halved it. Yup, that's right, officials can throw flags and get players fined just for getting a flag thrown on them now. After hearing about this, my instant reaction was what Kap himself thought about this. Well, he gave his thoughts to Matt Maiocco.
Kaepernick: "If you're going to say I used a racial slur and come back and say I didn't say it, then I don't know what I'm being fined for."

The NFL continues to make an ever larger joke out of itself, hopefully they come to their senses and eliminate the fine altogether. But in the meantime, the 49ers play probably their toughest match up of the season so far on Sunday night. They travel to Denver to face the Broncos in a game that just might earn Peyton Manning the all time passing TD record currently held by Brett Favre. With all the injuries on defense, this is the first week where I am not going in assuming a win. Peyton is tough with a fully staffed defense, but with missing starters all over the field, this is going to be tough. That isn't to say that its a lost cause, the 49ers have the talent to beat anyone in the NFL, injuries or no. But Kap is going to need to bring his A game if the 49ers have any chance. Now, lets get to those links.
