Good morning everyone, this Sunday the 49ers host the Kansas City chiefs. You all know what that means right? A whole lot of... AJ Jenkins links. Yeah, and maybe a few of that other guy that in no way stirs up debate around these parts. Seriously guys, we have a lot of links this morning, and most of them are about people on the Chiefs. It doesn't bother me though, I always liked Alex Smith when he was here. I immediately jumped on the Colin Kaepernick bandwagon the first chance I got. But I will always like Alex Smith.
If there is one thing I don't get about the Smith Kaepernick debate, (yeah, it still exists. Just go check twitter from last Sunday) Its the notion that the 49ers somehow wronged Alex Smith. What, more than the dozens of players that they cut every year? Because he is a great guy, (he is) he is immune from football decisions? Agree with it or not, the 49ers thought they were making the right decision to win a Superbowl. Question it two years later if you want, but please, don't paint Alex as a victim, he is in too great a situation for that.
