The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs released their Thursday practice participation reports. The 49ers report does not feature much in the way of changes. A day after getting a veteran's day off, Justin Smith was back as a full participant. Additionally, Andy Lee moved from limited to full. He injured his ankle on the blocked punt against the Philadelphia Eagles, but appears to be getting back to 100 percent. Tramaine Brock, Anthony Davis, and Vernon Davis remain sidelined.
The Chiefs had two notable changes. Donnie Avery sat out practice on Wednesday, and now the Chiefs have ruled him out entirely for Sunday. He will undergo hernia surgery, potentially opening the door for A.J. Jenkins this Sunday. The other notable change is cornerback Marcus Cooper. The briefly one-time 49er appeared as limited with a knee injury, a day after not appearing on the injury report.
