Chargers vs. Broncos: TNF game time, TV schedule, odds and more

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back for another week of football! Week 8 kicks off with the Denver Broncos hosting the San Diego Chargers on Thursday Night Football. The game kicks off at 5:25 p.m. PT on CBS, and will be simulcast on NFL Network. We once again get Jim Nantz and Phil Simms to entertain us through the evening. I recommend the mute button.

The Broncos opened this game as 6.5-point favorites, but the line has climbed to Broncos -8. This is the first of what could be two huge matchups between these teams. The Broncos are 5-1 and the Chargers are 5-2. The Chiefs are 3-3, and hanging around, but odds are pretty good the AFC West race comes down to these two teams. I anticipate a split of this series, but if the Broncos can hold serve at home, they will head into the second half of the season with a game and a half lead, and a game in hand when the Chargers eventually hit their bye week. These two teams square off in San Diego during Week 15, but given how Denver is playing, who knows if that game will even matter for divisional purposes.

Game time: 5:25 p.m. PT
Channel: CBS/NFL Network
Announcers: Jim Nantz, Phil Simms
Odds: Broncos -8
