Good morning everyone. So what are you guys doing this weekend? I'm thinking of taking up a hobby, but I cant decide whether I want to start a rock collection, or get destroyed by 12 year old guerrilla's in paintball. Not like anything else is happening right? As you all know, the 49ers have their bye this week. Unfortunately, as a result, we don't have very many links today.

One of the major themes over the past week in the media has been that the 49ers are due for a resurgence of sorts. If you just take a moment and actually look at some the factors that have led to their 4-3 record it makes a lot of sense.

For starters, they have missed five All-Pro players for stretches of the season, including NaVorro Bowman and Aldon Smith for every game. Secondly, they have had the toughest schedule in the NFL through week seven. Thirdly, they have been bombarded weekly with rumors that they want their coach out. And Finally, they have built the team around running the football, yet they have dealt with an inconsistent, injured offensive line and have only had two backs on the roster all season.

The schedule only gets easier from here on out as they face only two teams in the second half with winning records -Arizona and San Diego - both of which are at home. That's not to say it's going to be a cake walk, as even with issues of their own, Seattle twice cannot be considered easy. And despite having a bad year, New Orleans in New Orleans is hard to be considered a gimmie. But with the way this roster is getting its key pieces back, I see good reason for optimism. With that said, to the links!
