SB Nation has been partnering with FanDuel this season in weekly fantasy football, and this week, they have set up a Niners Nation specific league. The entry fee is $5, and the top 15 entries will win prize money, ranging from $12.50 to $100.

For those that are not aware of what FanDuel entails, it basically is one-off fantasy sports. You pick a lineup for a given week's games, and once the week is done, you are finished. As I said above, you pay an entry fee, and can win prize money. This NN league costs $5, but most FanDuel leagues cost $1. The $1 leagues will have anywhere from 100 to several thousand participants. For now our NN specific league will have 88 participants.

For this particular league, it will cover only Sunday games, which gives you the rest of the week to decide on your roster. You get a $60,000 salary cap, and have to start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 Defense. As usual, Derek will have his FanDuel strategy article for the end of the week.

If you have never played FanDuel but want to take part, you'll join at the link above and have to deposit money. I don't think we've ever had a sponsorship deal here that involves giving money up front, so if you have any questions about this, feel free to ask in the comments. I believe you could conceivably deposit a few bucks to play this game, and have a little bit to play with over the rest of the year.
