The NFL trade deadline is a wrap, and we actually had a pair of trades. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded safety Mark Barron to the St. Louis Rams, and they also traded linebacker Jonathan Casillas to the New England Patriots. According to Adam Schefter, the Rams traded a 4th and 6th round pick for Barron.

The Rams will likely insert Barron in place of Rodney McLeod. McLeod suffered a knee injury on Sunday, and his status is uncertain at this point. Rams fans have been less than pleased with McLeod's performance, and seem to think Barron will be an improvement. Barron has not exactly been spectacular, grading out at -3.6 by Pro Football Focus, and apparently not doing enough to get in Advanced NFL Stats WPA rankings. He graded out poorly primarily in run defense

It remains to be seen how quickly Barron gets into the Rams starting lineup. The Rams get to travel to face the 49ers this weekend, and are already double digit underdogs. We'll see if Barron brings anything to the table for them.
