Fooch's Note: Don't forget to join our Niners Nation-specific FanDuel league. It's $5 to enter. You can get a chance to beat me and win some money. Worth noting, it has not been difficult beating me in fantasy football this year.
Week 8 Recap
I finished outside the money by 3 lousy points last week thanks in large part to Jordy Nelson and Brandon Marshall delivering below average performances. I did have my revenge on "Niners1977" in our head-to-head game, so it wasn't a completely horrible week.

This week I'm taking part in the Niners Nation game on FanDuel. It's a $5 entry fee and the contest pays out to the top 15 teams. Here is the team I plan to unleash on Sunday.
Quarterback
Colin Kaepernick (49ers) $7800
He may be a popular pick given the group, but Kaep is hard to avoid at this price. He should be a good play for 200 yards and 2 TDs. With so many QBs on bye he is a quality option with an appealing price tag.
Running Backs
Arian Foster (Texans) $9400
When he is healthy he is a top 5 running back that is also a factor in the passing game. It's hard to see this game being a low scoring affair and Foster has been absolutely amazing the last few weeks.
Ronnie Hillman (Broncos) $7,200
The Patriots have been getting eaten alive by the run this season. I'll buy a share of Hillman who looks to have captured the full time gig in the Denver backfield. Like Foster, he is also adept at catching passes and that's what you like in a fantasy league that reward 0.5 point per reception.
Wide Receivers
Steve Smith Sr. (Panthers) $7200
I decided to spend less on receivers this week and Steve Smith Sr. fits the bill for I need at WR. Big play ability, going against a bad defense and has been quiet the last few weeks. Of course, this means I have to rely on Joe Flacco to get him the ball, which wasn't a problem earlier in the season.
Odell Beckham Jr. (Giants) $6600
The rookie has been worth the price tag with Victor Cruz out for the season. My prediction is that Eli and company will have to keep throwing to stay in the game. Rueben Randle is probably the better touchdown threat, but ODBJ should collect plenty of receptions and yardage on Monday Night.
DeAndre Hopkins (Texans) $6900
Did you see Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown slaughter the Philadelphia secondary last week? Well, Hopkins is better fantasy option than those two and he has been red hot recently.
Tight End
Jordan Reed (Washington or "Warshington" depending on where you are from) $5500
With my remaining balance I went after a tight end with upside. RG3 returns this week and he should help this offense move the ball. Reed is one of the best pass catching tight ends in the league and hopefully a QB worth his salt is what he needs for a breakout game.
Kicker
Josh Scobee (Jaguars) $4600
Kicker? Check. Cheap? Check. Poor Opposing Defense? Check, and that's enough for me to roll with Scobee this week.
Defense
Cleveland Browns $4800
C'mon Browns, you just need to stop Matt Glennon at home on Sunday. You have Joe Haden on your team for crying out loud!
Good luck to the others in the Niners Nation league this week. Keep it clean, touch gloves and come out swinging.
