You know, it really feels like we're back in the off season this morning with some grim and generally unappealing links on tap. For those of you that hadn't heard, (like me) there was an assault right before kickoff against the Chiefs last Sunday, where two brothers assaulted a man over a bathroom stall. Yeah I know, sad and pathetic. It gets even worse when you hear that the victim is "close to death." The crime was up on YouTube, it still might be for all I know, but frankly, that isn't the sort of thing I want to link here. Fooch had a great write up on the subject yesterday which I recommend you read, as well as the links right on top.
As for the rest of the links, there weren't a ton yesterday, but there were a few highlights. For one, Aaron Lynch spoke to the media yesterday and we have some good takeaways. Especially about how he is fitting in with the veterans and his eating regimen. I have to say, Lynch has really impressed me this season. As far as I am concerned, he should have taken Corey Lemonier's job and should be on his way to taking Ahmad Brooks role on passing downs when Aldon returns. He hasn't gotten a sack yet, but he has done just about everything else out there. Getting semi consistent pressure on the QB, swatting down passes, diagnosing screen passes, blocking punts. The dude has been our best edge rusher so far, and I am expecting big things from him.
