Week 10 college football TV schedule: Auburn-Ole Miss is the big one on Saturday

We've got a look at some of the big college football matchups in Week 10. One has huge playoff implications.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The tenth week of the 2014 college football season got off to fine form on Thursday when Florida State came back from a 21-0 deficit to defeat Louisville. The win further boosted FSU's playoff credentials. They still have four games and the ACC championship game remaining, but they are strong favorites to earn one of the four playoff berths.

We'll potentially get a little clarification from the SEC's playoff candidates. No. 4 Ole Miss hosts No. 3 Auburn, with the loser likely dropping out of the current top four. Both have a big game to close out their schedule, with Ole Miss hosting top-ranked Mississippi State, and Auburn traveling to face currently sixth-ranked Alabama. The loser will be in trouble with the playoffs, but they probably will not be completely eliminated from the picture. Well, assuming they are not blown out tonight.

The West Coast features a big Pac-12 matchup. No. 5 Oregon hosts Stanford. Oregon can all but lock up the North division, while a Stanford win would create some conference chaos. The Pac-12 also features No. 14 Arizona State hosting No. 17 Utah on Fox Sports 1. The winner stakes the midseason claim to the South division. Of course, both have to face Arizona, who joins them with one conference loss. The South is far from clear, which should make for a fun November.
