The San Francisco 49ers are back home on Sunday to face Washington in a Week 12 NFC matchup. The 49ers wrapped up a 2-game sweep of a road trip to New Orleans and New York. They now are back home for what, travel-wise, is a nice close to the season. The 49ers host Washington and then Seattle the next two weeks. They then "travel" to Oakland in Week 14, fly up to Seattle in Week 15, and are back the final two weeks against San Diego and Arizona.
The 49ers face a Washington squad that is dealing with all sorts of in-fighting, revolving around their quarterback position. The 49ers are a nine-point favorite, which marks the 21st time under Jim Harbaugh they have been at least a touchdown favorite. In the first 20 such games, the 49ers were 14-5-1 straight up, and 9-11 against the spread. A win is the most important thing, but covering in a big way would be nice. The 49ers are better than Washington, and a dominant performance would be a nice step for them.
Sunday's game will be broadcast on CBS, kicking off at 1:25 p.m. PT. Normally, NFC games are on FOX. However, this year marks the first year of cross-flexing, which allows the NFL to assign conference games to the opposing network in order to balance out the television options. This game will get Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon in the booth. The game does not get a particularly large broadcast, but there are some notable spots outside of Northern California and the DC area getting the game. You can view the full broadcast map at 506sports.com. You can view additional broadcast info HERE. If you live abroad, you can watch the game on NFL Game Pass. If you live in the US, NFL Rewind offers games after the fact, but not live.
