49ers-Seahawks line ranging from pick 'em to San Francisco -1

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks renew their rivalry for the first time this season. We take a look at the opening line.

The San Francisco 49ers edged out Washington 17-13 on Sunday, and we'll have plenty more on that, but in the meantime, we also need to get ready for Thursday. The 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving in a huge divisional showdown. The two teams are scratching to gain ground on Arizona, so the winner of this one will take an important leg up.

The line is out and the game is viewed as a tight one. The 49ers opened as a 1-point favorite, but some sportsbooks have dropped it to a pick 'em. This is not entirely shocking, particularly given how close the 49ers have been playing teams this year. The Seahawks are coming off a strong win over the Arizona Cardinals, but they remain a question mark on the road. Of course, the 49ers have been a question mark on offense all season, resulting in them showing up with a +3 point differential.

I honestly have no clue what to expect out of the 49ers offense on Thursday. We know the defense will be there to do some damage. They face a Seahawks squad that is ninth in the league in scoring, but seems to have its own share of inconsistencies. The 49ers will see plenty of Marshawn Lynch, but if they can contain him on first and second down, I like their chances against the Seahawks third down offense. Of course, sometimes that is easier said than done.
