The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks released their first practice participation reports on Monday, as the teams prepare for their Thursday Night Football matchup. The short week means less prep time, but also means the teams are back to work on Monday. The 49ers had a basic walkthrough, while it appears the Seahawks had a fairly normal practice.
The 49ers walkthrough meant the team provided a simulated injury report. According to that report, Anthony Davis would have sat out practice. Jim Harbaugh said Davis was still dealing with concussion symptoms, so this is not a surprise. Justin Smith is listed as a DNP with a back issue. This appears different from his normal rest days, so we'll see what the rest of the week brings.
Derek Carrier was a new addition with a foot injury suffered on Sunday. Vance McDonald was limited, and his status remains in question for Thursday. He was healthy heading into last week, but was added to the injury report on Thursday and Friday as limited. If he and Carrier are both hurt, the 49ers face big questions without two tight ends.
Tramaine Brock remains out with his hamstring injury. My guess is he will not play this week, and he'll then get the ten days between Week 13 and 14 to get ready and return against the Oakland Raiders.
