Thursday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks has the vultures circling the San Francisco 49ers as it pertains to Jim Harbaugh and the future of the team. The media has been circling this story all season, and if the 49ers struggles continue, it will only pick up steam.
Sunday morning brought a new article from Jason LaCanfora that doesn't add anything to it, but adds a little more speculation to the mix. It talked about Jim Tomsula and Vic Fangio as likely candidates to replace Harbaugh, but also added that Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase is viewed as a top external candidate for the job.
As the coaching situation clears up, we'll get into more detail on potential replacement candidates, and what it all means. There will be plenty of questions to sort out, particularly related to what kind of plan the 49ers have exactly heading into what could prove to be the most important offseason since following the 2010 season.
In the meantime, I have one basic question. Jim Harbaugh is signed through the 2015 season. Given all we have seen, do you expect Jim Harbaugh to be the 49ers head coach when we get to Week 1 of the 2015 season? I've attached a poll below.
