Good morning everyone. In a sad turn of events, Marcus Lattimore - the 49ers 4th round pick in the 2013 NFL draft - announced his retirement from the NFL yesterday. He was one of the elite backs in his class before two leg injuries ended his sophomore and junior seasons at South Carolina. We all hoped that he would be able to complete his comeback, and go on to have a great career; unfortunately - and also fortunately - he decided that his future health may have been compromised. By all accounts, he was a great guy, and I wish him nothing but the best in life.
On to the 49ers, the team is having some serious issues. In fairness, the team is just as banged up as it was in the Bronco game, so from that standpoint nothing has changed. Aldon Smith won't be returning for the Saints game Sunday, but hopefully Patrick Willis will be back. The team is going through a severe rough patch, and hopefully, for all of our sakes, New Orleans is where it turns around. Because it kinda has to. To the links.
