The New York Jets host the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football to close out Week 13. The game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT on ESPN, which means we get Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden in the booth, and Lisa Salters on the sidelines. The Dolphins are a touchdown favorite after opening as four-point favorites.
The Dolphins are 7-5, while the Jets are 2-9. New York is "battling" for draft positioning, and I'd imagine Rex Ryan might like to try and save his job. A win for Miami would vault them into a huge pile of teams in the AFC wild card race. If the Dolphins win, they will join five other teams at 7-5. This includes the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, and Kansas City Chiefs. A win would vault Miami into the sixth playoff spot due to their tiebreaker edge. They have one win over Buffalo, and would have a better conference record than Kansas City. The AFC is going to come down to the wire.
