The Niners head off to Seattle for another showdown with their rival Seahawks. How are Niner fans feeling about this game? If the team couldn't score much at home, how do we feel about traveling to that asylum and beating the Seahawks? Of course the Niners could do it. If they play at their best, they can beat anyone. We just haven't seen them at their best all year long. There are upsets all year long. But this doesn't look like a good bet for a win. The Niners can't sneak up on the Seahawks. They would love nothing more than to bounce the Niners from the playoff hunt.
Other than the Championship Game in January, the Niners haven't played particularly well in Seattle. Like most teams that travel there, the noise seems to rattle the offense. Having traveled up there last season, I can attest to the noise being louder than anything I've been a part of. A team that is having trouble offensively is no match for that environment. The Niners offense has issues getting plays off in time of the play clock and the noise will make it almost impossible. It doesn't bode well for the offense to find their rhythm in that stadium.
In injury news, the team finally activated NaVorro Bowman. Personally, I don't want to see him play in any games this year. He should heal all the way up and get ready for next year. They probably activated him to get some practice time in to help with his rehab and add some leadership. He will be ready to start next season completely healthy. Patrick Willis and him will reform the top LB duo in the entire league. As good as Chris Borland and Wilhoite have played this season, they are not Willis and Bowman.
