Golden Nuggets: Colin Kaepernick is nice to the media... and they all lived happily ever after

Thursday, December 11, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. The past four days including Sunday Night have been a major struggle for me. For one, I had to witness the debacle that some are calling a football game, surrounded by Raider fans. You see, when my family gets together, it's 95% Raider fans, my dad who is a Rams fan, and me. Needless to say, I was heavily outnumbered. It didn't help that I had to witness maybe the worst display of football I have seen since Mike Singletary was coaching. I said after the Seattle loss that I would only be mildly surprised if the 49ers finished 7-9. Well, the "mildly" part was only because the Raiders were on the schedule. I am pretty sure this team, as currently constructed, will lose to Seattle, Arizona, and San Diego. But hey, the 49ers are more then welcome to prove me wrong.

For the second Thursday in a row, the biggest news coming out of Wednesday is Colin Kaepernick and his manner with the Media. For his entire career, he has basically treated the media like lepers, making it painfully obvious through body language and general demeanor, that his media obligations are his least favorite part of being an NFL QB. Apparently, all it took for Colin to lighten up was Trent Baalke giving him a talking to. Based off reports from several media members in attendance, Colin was smiling, giving more than yes or no answers, and at least acting like he wasn't talking to who he thinks are the most annoying people on the planet. Lo and behold, even after a despicable loss to the worst team in the league, we have some positivity in our links today!
