I got back in the win column with big games from Lacy, Green and the Vikings, but I got greedy and lost a second FanDuel contest. This week I'll return to the Niners Nation League, but I will not be selecting anyone in the Seattle/San Francisco game, because I really don't see a good buy in the bunch. Here is a peek at my week 14 lineup:
Niners Nation League $5 Entry Free (Sunday - Monday Games)
Quarterback
Eli Manning (Giants) $7,500: If the QB facing the Washington defense is halfway decent then he has a good chance to have a career day. Not only does Eli play against Washington's atrocious secondary, he'll have the services of Odell Beckham to generate serious yards after the catch.
Running Backs
Latavius Murray (Raiders) $6500: The last time he faced the Chiefs he only had 4 carries, but 2 of those went for touchdowns. It looks like he is the feature back in Oakland and this game should be closer than most people think.
Matt Forte (Bears) $9000: He gets a bad Saints defense on a cold Chicago night. Even if they can stop the run, he is usually good for at least 5-7 receptions. My history with expensive FanDuel players hasn't been great, but there is little chance Forte isn't a huge factor Monday night.
Wide Receivers
Odell Beckham Jr. $8500: See above statements regarding Elisha Nelson Manning and the hologram that is the Washington secondary.
T.Y Hilton (Colts) $8800: I'm spending big on receiver this week. Hilton has been one of the best fantasy wide outs over the last few games. He routinely treats the Houston secondary as if they were cardboard cutouts. The beatings will continue Sunday.
Marquess Wilson (Bears) $4500: Brandon Marshall's replacement probably isn't falling off the radar in too many circles. The kid is coming off injury, but he has serious wheels and the Saints defense is in turmoil. That price tag tho!
Tight End
Jordan Cameron (Browns) $5100: Rookies tend to lean on their tight ends and Cameron should be plenty involved come Sunday. The hope here is that Johnny Manziel doesn't end up looking worse than Brian Hoyer. That bar is so low it's buried.
Kicker
Connor Barth (Broncos) $4700: I always feel like I'm being suckered when I see kickers on explosive offenses so cheaply priced. I'll take the risk that the Broncos fall short a few times, setting Mr. Barth up for some easy points.
Defense
Detroit Lions $5400: Their one of the better defenses playing at home against a rookie QB. Yeah, I'll fire up the Lions this week.
Drop a comment and let me know what you think of the lineup!
