NFL picks against the spread, Week 15: 49ers listed as double digit underdogs

I return for another round of SuperContest picks. I am 32-38, and going in the wrong direction. Time for Seattle to get the stink!

MGM Sports Book

It was an ugly performance for me last week, effectively ending my chances of a respectable finish in the LVH SuperContest. An 0-5 performance dropped me to 32-38, and we are clearly at the point where people should be fading my picks.

It is with that in mind that it is time to send my stink in Seattle's direction. The Seahawks are a ten point favorite over the 49ers. This marks the first time in the Jim Harbaugh era that the 49ers have been double digit underdogs. The team also enters this game having lost two straight. They have never lost three straight games under Jim Harbaugh. With the future of the team up in the air, I suppose such a losing streak would put a bit of a bow on things.

However, I am here to take one for the team. I have no real chance of doing anything in the SuperContest, so I am going for the reverse jinx. It may not work, but I'm here to do anything I can to help the San Francisco 49ers spring the huge upset up in Seattle. I'm taking the Seahawks at -10, and hoping the 49ers ruin that pick for me. I guarantee you some will question my loyalty, but I contend this makes me the most loyal of us all!

Just a reminder, the folks at our partner site, OddsShark have staked me in a pick 'em contest in Las Vegas. I pick five games each week against the spread, taking on over 1,400 people. The top 30 win money. I will not be in the top 30. If you are looking to figure out some wagers for Sunday (something I would NEVER encourage), check out the OddsShark betting trends page.

Here are my other four picks for Week 15, with home teams in caps. I decided to go primarily with home teams, and grabbed two underdogs. One is Dallas, and maybe I can get the double reverse jinx with an Eagles win to further help the 49ers playoff chances. I'm not holding my breath for big things, but sometimes good things can happen!

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-10) over Oakland Raiders
BALTIMORE RAVENS (-13.5) over Jacksonville Jaguars
ATLANTA FALCONS (+2.5) over Pittsburgh Steelers
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-10) over San Francisco 49ers
Dallas Cowboys (+3) over PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
