The NFL puts some high flying, no defense football on display as the Chicago Bears host the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. The game kicks off on ESPN at 5:30 p.m. PT, and means we get an evening of Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden and Lisa Salters. Maybe Tirico will crack a joke about the 49ers or Raiders head coaching jobs.
The Saints are a three-point road favorite, and have a big opportunity in front of them this week. If they beat the Bears, they will climb into first place, a few percentage points ahead the 5-8-1 Carolina Panthers. If the Saints lose, the Panthers remain in first place, and the Saints will be tied with the Falcons at 5-9. Isn't the NFC South thoroughly glorious?
These two teams are not particularly good, but there is a decent chance this could become a fun offensive matchup. It at least has to be better than this coming Thursday's fine TNF matchup. You all excited for the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting Tennessee Titans? Just, wow. For now though, we get a chance for Jay Cutler and Drew Brees to air it out. I can live with that.
