Golden Nuggets: What Is Jim Going To Do?

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from the Internet

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

This is the low point of Jim Harbaugh's tenure in San Francisco. Getting embarrassed at home on Thanksgiving by the Seattle Seahawks and having an inept offense, questions are getting louder about Jim's employment. The Faithful have been asking for Greg Roman to be let go for awhile now, but it seems now that the fans are not too nervous about losing Harbaugh if he does leave.

After the abysmal offensive showings this season, the call for firing Greg Roman is at a fever pitch. The offense ranks close to the bottom of most offensive categories while their defense with the backups playing are at the top of their defensive ranks. Jim Harbaugh has made it very clear that Roman will still be the play caller and has full faith in him. If this is the case, 49er fans are losing faith in Harbaugh. We all know he can coach football. His resume speaks for itself. In 3 seasons, he has taken the 49ers to 3 NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl. But at some point, changes need to be made. Jim's brother, John, fired his offensive coordinator midseason and went on to win the Super Bowl.

I personally would like Jim to stay on as 49ers head coach. But I do not want to see Roman back. The offense has never been the strong suit of this team, but they are just terrible this year. Time to bring in a fresh perspective and see what this team can do. The offensive struggles are not all on Roman, but he should shoulder a lot of the blame.
