49ers-Raiders injury report: Anthony Davis, Vance McDonald ruled out for Sunday

The San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders released their final injury reports, and there are not a lot of surprises. The injuries are always concerning, but Anthony Davis's status remains a particular worry. He has been ruled out for Sunday as he continues trying to get back from a concussion suffered in Week 11. This will be the third straight game he has missed with the concussion. He and Jim Harbaugh have both said he is improving, but clearly he is still dealing with symptoms.

Vance McDonald and Glenn Dorsey were both ruled out as well. McDonald is dealing with a back injury, leaving the tight ends short-handed yet again. Dorsey was back at practice this week for the first time since his biceps tear, but he remains at least another week away.

The 49ers have four wide receivers listed on the injury report, although all four are listed as probable for Sunday. Michael Crabtree was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a knee injury suffered against the Seahawks. He was a full participant on Friday. Bruce Ellington, Stevie Johnson, and Brandon Lloyd were all full participants throughout the week. All indications are that Ellington will be active, and likely back handling kick and punt return work. Perrish Cox and Carlos Hyde handled those duties during Ellington's absence. Neither was overly successful at it, and both play at positions with limited depth, so Vic Fangio and Greg Roman are probably anxious to get them out of the return work.

On the Raiders side of things, right tackle Menelik Watson has been ruled out due to a foot/ankle injury. Linebacker Sio Moore is listed as questionable. Latavius Murray is listed as probable, having fully cleared the concussion protocol. According to Tony Sparano, the team is not prepared to fully turn over the running back reigns to him. He will get plenty of work, but Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew will get their share of work.
