The NFL wraps up Week 14 with a so-called battle of division leaders. The Green Bay Packers host the Atlanta Falcons, with both teams looking to take a 1-game lead in their respective divisions. The Packers are 9-3, and just ahead of the 9-4 Detroit Lions. The Falcons are 5-7, and ahead of the 5-8 New Orleans Saints. A loss would drop the Packers behind the Lions due to Detroit's 1-0 head-to-head record. The Falcons have one win on the Saints, and thus would retain the NFC South lead with a loss.
The game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT on ESPN, and the Packers are heavy favorites. The line opened at Packers -10, but it has climbed to -13.5. I suppose the Falcons could spring an upset in primetime, but I see very little chance of that happening. The Packers have won four straight and are rolling at the moment. I think they have very little trouble with the Falcons. The good news with a Packers win is we would continue the run toward a potential 6-10 NFC South champion. We've already seen a 7-9 division champ, it's time to get uglier!
