Good morning ladies and gents. Free agency is just about grinding to a halt for most teams, including our San Francisco 49ers. Now we have to look forward to the NFL Draft and ... of course, it's pretty far away. I hate that it's been pushed back to May. I don't think it does anything at all for the excitement of the thing and all it makes me want to do is hibernate until May.
Then again, I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen with the 49ers on draft day. I don't know if they'll trade, I don't know who they're targeting, and I don't know what I hope they'll do, either. I haven't quite caught up on this year's draft class just yet, which doesn't help things. I really think the 49ers could go so many different ways with which position they target in the first round.
But I'm rambling, so let's get to your Nuggets for the day.
Power-running 49ers sign FB Miller to 3-year extension (Branch)
49ers look at big-legged kicking prospect (Barrows)
Miller's role could evolve into short-yardage runner (Maiocco)
Raiders, 49ers should apply the Walsh Principle, draft a QB (Purdy)
Boldin's charity wins NFLPA Byron 'Whizzer' White Award (Maiocco)
Bruce MIller is the type of player you keep (Williamson)
Raiders' Tarell Brown: 49ers deal was 'slap in the face' (aka 'wahhhhhhhh') (NFL.com)
