Golden Nuggets: DeSean Jackson talk really should go away

Sunday, March 23rd, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning ladies and gents. It seems like the hot topic, at this point, is wide receiver DeSean Jackson and his potential availability. I'm not surprised at all that the San Francisco 49ers have been identified as a team which has expressed interest, but I'm with Fooch in thinking that the chances of Jackson coming to San Francisco are slim to none.

I mean, I think there's a slightly bigger chance than some ... certainly more than past wide receivers the fanbase has latched onto, like Mike Williams. But it would require Jackson taking the kind of paycut that I don't think he's willing to take. Will a team like the Oakland Raiders pay him $10.5 million next season? Probably not, but they might pay him $8 million next year, and that would be enough to put him out of San Francisco's wheelhouse.

Let's get on to your links for the day.
