TMZ might be kind of nasty at times, but they find a way to get information and video pretty quickly. Above is a video TMZ posted not too long ago. We don't know for certain, but it appears to be Aldon Smith being detained by LAX police. The reports have said he got belligerent, and in this video, he is not happy with the LAX police. He says something about "you're embarrassed", at which point he steps toward the cop. The cop asks him to step away, and then the man that appears to be Smith says he's done nothing wrong.
LAX police informed media that a 25-year old San Jose resident was taken into custody, but would not provide his name. Smith is actually 24, but given what this video shows, my guess is the police spokesperson got the age wrong.
Cam Inman just posted this complete statement from the Los Angeles Police Department:
"At approximately 1400 hrs, a 25-year-old male resident of San Jose, California, was going through Terminal 1 screening and was randomly selected for a secondary screening," Sgt. Karla Ortiz said in a statement.
"The suspect then became belligerent and uncooperative with the process and with the TSA agent, making a comment indicating that he was in possession of a bomb before proceeding towards the gate area.
"Los Angeles Airport Police made contact with him at the gate and he was positively identified as the person in question. Once again the male subject became uncooperative and he was detained and taken into custody by Airport Police and is currently being transported to LAPD for booking."
Again, we'll wait for more on what led to him becoming uncooperative with TSA.
