Bill Walsh discusses his offensive philosophy [video]

We all know and love Bill Walsh for his role in turning around the San Francisco 49ers. The man who was instrumental in the development of the West Coast offense came to San Francisco from Stanford, and helped turn the franchise into the team of the 80s. The team was strong top to bottom, but those teams were known for their work with the West Coast offense, as much as anything else.

The video above (first discovered by our friends at Field Gulls!) is an event in which Walsh provides a pretty impressive breakdown of parts of the playbook. It's a long video, so if you don't have time, I'd recommend watching bits and pieces. The video was shot in the early 90s after Walsh had left the 49ers and was back with Stanford. The audio is not particularly good, but you can still hear him, and get a sense for what he is saying.
