I like the words "Ahead of schedule". I really like those words when they relate to NaVorro Bowman's rehabilitation from the horrific knee injury he suffered in the playoffs against the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game. Reports have Bowman out walking without any aid 2 months after having surgery. He is reportedly working out in Miami with the same trainer that worked Adrian Peterson after his injury. If there is one guy I would bet on being able to recover as quickly as AP, Bowman would be it. Just the way he injured his knee and still made one of the plays of the game was an amazing feat. Proof enough for me that he is strong, determined and unstoppable.
Even if he is ahead of schedule though, it is likely NaVorro will not be playing until midseason. He could very well be placed on the physically unable to perform list to begin the season. Jim Harbaugh would prefer this situation over rushing Bowman back to the starting lineup and risk further damage. Whenever he does come back though, it will be a great day when Bowman is able to run out on the field at new Levi's Stadium!
