Fooch's Update: Per Ravens (via Eric Branch), the 49ers preseason opener will be Thursday August 7.
The long slog through the NFL off-season has arrived at another benchmark. The 2014 NFL preseasons schedule has been released, getting us a little bit closer to real football.
The 49ers will travel to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 (Aug 7-10), host the Denver Broncos in Week 2 (Aug 14-18), host the San Diego Chargers in Week 3 on Sunday August 24, and then travel to face the Houston Texans in Week 4 on Thursday, August 28. The first two games are listed with date ranges because specific dates will be released later.
The television schedule will feature three different channels. Week 1 at Baltimore and Week 4 at Houston will be on KPIX 5. Week 2 vs Denver will be on NBC, and Week 3 vs. San Diego will be the FOX national game. And of course, Week 2 vs. Denver will be the first 49ers game at Levi's Stadium.

The NFL will follow up with the regular season schedule later this month. My best guess on the regular season schedule is the week of April 21. Here is a rundown of the 49ers regular season 2014 opponents:
HOME: Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, Washington, Chicago Bears
AWAY: Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams, New Orleans Saints
