The San Francisco 49ers are still a week away from their rookie minicamp, and then another few days until the start of their OTAs. That means things are fairly quiet right now. When the 49ers are not in session, we like quiet. It may reduce the available content for posting at NN, but well, I think you know where I'm going with it!
Hopefully everyone is having an enjoyable, restful weekend. Last weekend was exhausting thanks to the NFL Draft, so I was inclined to not do a whole lot. I grabbed drinks with friends Saturday night, and went and saw Godzilla this afternoon. I enjoyed it, although I can see why some might not like it. I thought it was a fun take on the series, and it also sounds like they've got a sequel in the works. I'm not sure I'd watch Godzilla at home on my regular TV, but in the theater it's fun.
With things relatively quiet, I thought I'd open up this thread for discussion of just about anything. If you don't have anything else to say, feel free to throw out any ideas you might have for offseason content. We've started up the 90-in-90 series, and that will cover most of the next two months. I'm also going to start up a pre-OTA series on the 49ers depth chart. We'll go position by position and break down what the depth chart looks like, the strengths and weaknesses, and what to consider heading into OTAs. We'll do something similar in July as training camp approaches.
We'll have rundowns on all the rookies, both on and off the field looks at them, and we'll break down injury issues. More content will come along, but if you have some specific ideas, feel free to share.
