49ers open up Day 2 of OTAs to media

New, comments

The San Francisco 49ers are back at practice in their second day of OTAs. We won't see a ton since much of it is closed to the media, but today does include some open times, as well as player media availability.

The San Francisco 49ers are into day 2 of their 2014 OTAs, and for the first time, we'll probably get some live tweet action during workouts. The 49ers will open the start of today's practice to media. It will close once team drills begin, and then players will be available to chat with the media.

Down below I've posted the NN 49ers media list I have on Twitter. It should update for you as the media are tweeting. Given that team drills will be closed to the media, the tweeting will be somewhat limited. The most valuable information will probably be things like who is actually taking part in the individual work. And of course, getting quotations once practice is over. The practice session will run 1:30-3:30, and then player availability is immediately after.

Unfortunately the 49ers are one of the teams that keep things relatively close to the vest during OTAs. Some teams open them up entirely to the media, others keep them locked down. Unfortunately, our 49ers maintain some level of paranoia when it comes to OTAs. Such is life.
