We're back for the 58th pick of the 2014 Niners Nation Community Mock Draft. You can see previous picks below in the draft table. You can also follow the mock draft board through this story stream.

With the 58th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, Roy_from_Israel and the New Orleans Saints select Bashaud Breeland, CB, Clemson. Here are his thoughts on the pick:

Continuing my draft strategy from the first pick, I want to add the player who will have the most impact for my team. In the first round I addressed the need for pass rusher, I still have a huge hole at CB (Champ Bailey is not a long term solution) and needs at WR and, as pointed to me in the comments of the first round pick, G/C. The players I target at those positions are Breeland, Paul Richardson, Jared Abbrederis, Keith McGill and David Yankey, luckily, all of them are still available. For those of you wondering, I'm not that high on Moncrief (at least not in the 2nd round) and I think that Richardson and Abbrederis are better players. It's just my personal opinion and I'm not claiming to be an expert.

I think all of those players present great value here and would make a nice impact right away. Restating my case from the 1st round pick I think that the passing offense will be just fine since Meachem was resigned and would probably be the no. 2 wideout. Also, as I said before, as long as Brees is the QB there is not much to worry about. Unless for some reason one of the 6 projected 1st round WR's would fall all the way to this place the pick should be at a different position, so once again I'm passing on a WR. Moving on to Breeland, McGill and Yankey. I Watched the film of both Breeland and McGill, and in my opinion Breeland is definitely the better player. He's better at coverage and also is a much more aggressive player. McGill has a Richard Sherman frame but he plays like a guy with Verrett's size. He's not aggressive in the run game, not a very good tackler and has tough time shedding blockers even if they are WR's with smaller frame then his.

Now we are left with Breeland and Yankey. I must confess that my "scouting" skills are not good enough to compare a CB with a Guard and determine who is better. What I do know is that Breeland plays in a more important position and therefore he presents greater value then Yankey. That is why Breeland gets the nod.

By the way, if I go strictly BPA it would be Richardson but he would probably be a 3rd/4th WR and also has a very similar skillset to Kenny Stills so he'll have a hard time to make significant impact in year 1.

Trevor Woods: Breeland is rough around the edges and will go through growing pains at first, but he is put into a good situation, able to learn a thing or two from Champ Bailey. As of now, he needs to put weight onto his frame and become more physical, while also refining his technique. I like the pick of cornerback here, as Bailey could be "done" and the Saints will need depth at corner if that is the case.

Nick Chiamardas: The Saints signed an aging Champ Bailey who may move exclusively into the slot. Breeland gives them a lanky corner capable of playing right away. Had Breeland stuck around school for one more year he may have been one of the first corners taken in next year's draft.
