We're back for the 63rd pick of the 2014 Niners Nation Community Mock Draft. You can see previous picks below in the draft table. You can also follow the mock draft board through this story stream.

With the 63rd pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, ak4niner and the Denver Broncos select Keith McGill, CB, Utah. He also considered South Carolina wide receiver Bruce Ellington, Florida State linebacker Christian Jones, and Tennessee offensive tackle JaWuan James. Here are his thoughts on the pick:

This was a tough choice for me. The main needs for the Broncos are ILB, CB, and WR. There is a desperate need for ILB on the Broncos, but Borland, my first choice was snagged by the Dolphins.  Jones didn't warrant using a second round pick in my opinion.

So, I looked to CB, WR, and BPA. Imagine my surprise to see Ja Wuan James available! I'm one who believes that the game is won in the trenches, and anything to help Manning stay upright will make the Broncos that much better. I went back and forth wondering, "Should I grab this guy?" He is a luxury pick, but would have been a great luxury pick.

I looked at the WR and CB positions. This draft has had a run on both positions, but especially WR. I went with CB for two reasons. One, the defense needs more of a boost than the offense, even with the loss of Decker.  Two, this kid has some serious skills; they just need a little refinement.

McGill is an alert defender who plays the ball well, using his height and leaping ability (39.0 inches at the combine, the top performer) along with his long arms (Baalke is in love) to bat away passes. He is generally an effective open field tackler. Also plays special teams. A great addition for a second-rounder.

The biggest knocks on him were physicality and does not play to his size. He also needs refinement in footwork and how he lines up. These are all things that are fixable by proper training and coaching, and the Broncos have both.

Nick Chiamardas: I really like this pick. McGill is flying under the radar after playing at Utah but I like him better than another BIG second round CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste. McGill is an excellent press corner with above average ball skills. He's also versatile enough to line up at safety if need be.
