We're back for the 64th pick of the 2014 Niners Nation Community Mock Draft. You can see previous picks below in the draft table. You can also follow the mock draft board through this story stream.

With the 64th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, timmyg24 and the Seattle Seahawks select Stephon Tuitt, DL, Notre Dame. He also considered Florida defensive lineman Dominique Easley, Louisville defensive end Marcus Smith, and LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Here are his thoughts on the pick:

I first started by identifying Seattle's needs. Their roster is pretty deep, but every team has positions of need. The first round I went offensive line, a position that has been inconsistent for Seattle. Remaining needs in my opinion were Tight End, Wide Receiver, Corner, and Defensive Line.

I had my eyes set on Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, but he was taken right in front of me. All of the Wide Receivers worthy of a 1-2 round pick were gone, so I figured no need reaching for a player there. Seattle has shown they can find Corner talent deeper in the draft, and there are plenty of those left as well.

So I took a look at the defensive line. Seattle lost Chris Clemons and Red Bryant in the off-season. They locked up Michael Bennett and Tony McDaniel, and still have Brandon Mebane. Cliff Avril will be a free agent after next year, and with the new Earl Thomas contract, Richard Sherman due for free agency, and Russell Wilson up for contract negotiations, it will probably be difficult to keep Avril around. Seattle had a deep roster at this position last year, and were able to rotate different packages which gave them a lot of versatility. I'm assuming they'll want to address this position with the ultimate goal being the same depth and versatility.

I looked at two players for this position: Dominique Easley and Stephon Tuitt. Different players for sure, but both would fit what Seattle wants to do on the line. Easley was a stud coming in to Gainesville and was showing that he was living up to the hype, but he tore his left ACL in 2011, came back, and tore his right ACL last year in his senior season. The times he was healthy, however, he was showing he had the talent to be a first round pick. To me he would be a perfect fit for Seattle. They don't need him to start right away and could ease him into the rotation.

Stephon Tuitt was a beast at Notre Dame. Literally, he gained a lot of weight his last year at Notre Dame which hurt his draft stock. He has since lost 15 pounds and leaned up. I am shocked he is still left at pick #64. Maybe everyone was too focused on his teammate Louis Nix, who plays the same position. As much as I love Easley, I love Tuitt's upside and versatility. He is quick enough for a big guy to play on the edge, but strong enough to play inside. He can eat up blockers and free up pass rushers or linebackers to stop the run. What made the decision for me easy was Easley's injury history. I think both players have a chance to be great in the right situation, but I'll take the guy without an injury history as a safer pick. I think he's exactly what Seattle is looking for, and they would be extactic if he was still there at 64. I doubt he will be though.

Nick Chiamardas: It's unlikely Tuitt lasts this long in the real life draft. If he does and ends up in Seattle, it's just really not fair. Tuitt can line up just about anywhere along the defensive line. He plays with a rare combination of power and quickness which makes him effective from any position. He's still rehabbing a foot injury discovered at the Combine so he'll likely fall into the second. But if he makes it this far down to Seattle, I'll be surprised.
