Day 2 of the 2014 NFL Draft is here! We'll see how the 49ers keep busy

We've got our first thread for day two of the 2014 NFL Draft. What will the 49ers do with the five picks they hold today?

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Day 2 of the 2014 NFL Draft kicks off in just a little bit, with the Houston Texans going on the clock at 4 p.m. PT. Today will consist of the second and third rounds. Second round picks will have 7 minutes per pick, while third round picks will have 5 minutes per pick. The third round also means the start of the compensatory picks.

The San Francisco 49ers have five picks on the day, with two in the second round and three in the third round. They got things going quickly this morning when they sent a 2015 conditional fourth round pick to the Buffalo Bills for Stevie Johnson. Who knows what it means for their draft plans today and tomorrow. I continue to expect them to trade some assets for 2015 picks, but who knows how it will actually play out given the surprise we had yesterday.

Fooch's Update: This got especially interesting for the Cleveland Browns. They had a great Day 1, but now word is out that Josh Gordon could be facing a 1-year suspension for marijuana (second failed drug test). They have to be looking WR this round, right?

As with yesterday, the draft will be broadcast on NFL Network and ESPN. You can view live streams for both networks via NFL.com and ESPN3.com. We'll be back with updates as the evening moves long. The 49ers first pick is not until No. 24. If they don't make an early move, we'll get a new thread after the first handful of picks, give or take.
