Golden Nuggets: Better late than never

Sunday, June 1st, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone. Now, I know that I'm usually a little late with the Golden Nuggets, but this is about as late as I've been while still actually getting them posted. This time, I have a valid excuse, however: I've a bad toothache and they can't extract the tooth due to the infection. Now, I've been in fights, I've broken bones and generally been in a lot of pain in my life, but when I get a toothache, I become functionally useless and turn into a giant baby.

That's more than you care to know about me, but I just wanted to get it across how little everything else in the world matters to me when I have a toothache. My house could be on fire and if I've found a good position to lay my head that doesn't include horrible, mind-shattering tooth pain, then I'm staying there.

Anyway, it's the offseason and all of that so actual, factual San Francisco 49ers news is just a tad sparse of late. But we do have a few things and I'm sure I'll post some of the better articles from recent days as well. If I've missed something -- virtually guaranteed -- please post it in the comments for your fellow reader. Enjoy.
