The San Francisco 49ers are back at OTAs this week, and in fact, will wrap them up by the end of the week. The 49ers had an OTA session Monday, and will have one today, Thursday, and Friday. They will then wrap up the offseason workout program next week with their mandatory minicamp.
Today marks the one day of media availability for this week's OTAs. Next week at minicamp, the 49ers will likely have open availability all three days.
As has been the case the past three weeks, OTAs do not provide a ton of information, but they can give us some insight into depth chart thoughts. There is no live contact, so we can't tell specifically how a lot of positions are performing. Defensive and offensive linemen can't get into each other. Wide receivers and cornerbacks can't get into any press coverage. Instead, players are using it to learn, and be ready for when the physical stuff starts up in July and August.
For now though, I figured I'd open up a thread so people can see what beat writers have to say about Tuesday's practice session. We'll probably see some quotations from players, we'll see some thoughts on what people are seeing. You can take it however you want, but it's always interesting to see what's what.
