Golden Nuggets: Colin Kaepernick investigation bogus, which we already knew

Friday, June 13, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Hey guys. Hey, hey guys. Did you know that the "suspicious incident" in Florida involving Colin Kaepernick wound up being total garbage unworthy of any kind of investigation? I know! I was super shocked as well. I mean Kaepernick shows all the signs of being somebody who would put himself in that kind of position, right? Just look at those tattoos. And he had a Miami Dolphins hat that one time. Plus: money socks.

In reality, I'm glad we can finally put that nonsense behind us. There's times when you hear about an incident involving a player and you're a little nervous, and this was not one of them. This wasn't even close to that feeling. We knew from the get go that this was, at worst, a case of Kaepernick probably needing to do a better job of avoiding certain people. And it doesn't even look like that ended up being all-that important. His reputation took a hit, and it really shouldn't have.

Good game, TMZ. Onto the links.
