Good morning everyone, the 49ers finished up OTAs yesterday and will begin their mandatory minicamp on the 17th. Vernon Davis, who sat out of the OTAs is expected to show up for work, Alex Boone who also sat out ... is not. Both want new contracts and it is worth noting that neither is holding out just yet. Of the two, Alex Boone is the only one who is legitimately underpaid. Obviously, I would like to see every player play out their contract, but I see where Alex is coming from. He signed his extension when he was a backup, and has clearly outperformed the contract.
In other news, Colin Kaepernick, Quinton Patton, and Ricardo Lockette were not charged for anything in the Miami "suspicious incident" because there was no indication that a crime was committed. We could pretty much tell this was the end result a month ago from the evidence released so I'm not sure what took the Miami police so long. They never even called any of the players in for questioning which would almost certainly be one of the opening phases of any serious investigation. TMZ will feel justified and continue to be a stain on the news reporting business without any care in the world. But our QB was vindicated and we can finally put this to rest like it should have been weeks ago. To the links!
