The United States pulled off a huge win Monday afternoon, defeating Ghana in their World Cup opener. I was able to watch the game out in front of San Francisco City Hall, and people were plenty fired up for the victory. It should surprise nobody that plenty of 49ers players were checking out the game as well. Several have made the trip to San Jose Earthquakes matches, and we see the occasional soccer tweet from different players.
