Golden Nuggets: Back To The Old Job

News out of Niners OTAs today is that Patrick Willis may find himself back at his old position of 'Mike' LB. Due to the injury to NaVorro Bowman and the length of time he could be missing, Willis could occupy Bowman's spot and Wilhoite, who most think will take over for Bowman, could take over Willis' spot. Wilhoite filled in admirably when Willis went down so he has the experience to replace our other All-Pro LB.

If Willis does make the move to the 'Mike' LB, it should be a season long change even when Bowman comes back. It's doubtful that Harbaugh would ask Willis to switch positions now and again during the season. If there is anyone that could perform at the high level Bowman plays at, it is definitely Patrick Willis. Hopefully he will not need to play without his linebacking partner for very long. The best LB duo needs to be reunited as soon as possible.
