Golden Nuggets: Ian Williams not ready to come back just yet

New, comments

Sunday, July 20, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE

Good morning everyone. This is the first edition of the Nuggets I've had since Aldon Smith was sentenced, and I thought I might weigh in. Obviously, I think the sentence was in-line with what one should expect given his history, etc. Whether or not you think first-time offenders of DUI should be punished more harshly (I do), his punishment was fair and in line with a first-time offender. So that's good.

He'll probably get suspended by the NFL, regardless -- and my guess is about four games, but more than that would not be a surprise at this point. The NFL does what the NFL wants. Other than that news, the stuff about Ian Williams going on the PUP list is incredibly disappointing ... I want him to succeed badly, given his skillset. I think he's got a lot more upside than Glenn Dorsey.

Let's get to your links, of which there are just a few today.
